Meditation on the landscape.

“Your heart is like the ocean, mysterious and dark.”
― Bob Dylan

In my work I explore my connection to the landscape, to places that resonate with me. Captivated by scenery of Sunshine Coast I created a series of graphics called Rocks and Pebbles.

I use photos, painting and drawing to digitally create composite landscapes. Layered with semi-abstract ephemeral floating forms they drift between the fields of photography and painting.

Compositions are punctuated with small lines and shapes in vibrant colours reminiscing scattered shells, sticks and pebbles one can find during long walks along the beach.

I do not try to recreate the scene, rather try to find a poetry of forms, colours, rhythms it evokes in me.
