Flowers touch my deep interest in beauty, passion, fleeting time, death.
Their exuberance and lavish abundance is mesmerising. Their eccentric defiant vitality in the face of passing time fascinates and inspires me.
Using my own visual vocabulary I try to evoke their character and spirit.
I do not try to recreate the reality. Rather, I try to find poetry through forms, marks, colours and rhythms that carry my impression of the scene.
